Christine is also Musical Director of the Weybridge Male Voice Choir and the two choirs have joined together in combined concerts. She directs the St James' Church Choir in Weybridge, where she is also organist.
Additionally, Christine is Musical Director of the Weyward Singers, a mixed choir, teaches piano and organ and organises instrumental groups for young people. She is a Governor of St James' Church of England Primary School in Weybridge where she assists with the music.
Last year, she was made an honorary member of the Guild of Church Musicians.
The Treble Clef Choir is very fortunate to have Christine Best as its Musical Director. Through her musical ability and dedication she has led the choir since its formation in 1989.
She worked in Northern Ireland in a variety of schools as composer in residence for the Belfast Arts Council, then taught music and performing arts at the Rudolph Steiner School in New England, USA.
After returning to the UK to have her son, Emma taught the piano and saxophone privately to children and adults in the local area. In 2007, after having her second son, she began working as a music teacher at Feltonfleet Preparatory School in Cobham teaching music.
Emma teaches piano, saxophone and voice and runs a jazz trio.
Emma has been our accompanist for the last six years. She graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2001 after studying for a Master's degree in composition and piano performance.
